2011 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

2012 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Please set your trash on the curb by 6:00 am on your pickup day.
  • Yard waste is not considered household waste. The City of Elizabethtown provides yard waste service during certain times of the year at no charge. For weekly yard waste service, we offer a separate "YARD WASTE DISPOSAL PLAN" for $60.00 per year. This includes pickup of 8 bags of leaves or grass clippings per week, 50 pound per bag maximum and small bush or tree trimmings.
  • Your first invoice is mailed the day of your first pickup and is due in 10 days. A $5.00 late fee will be added if payment is not received by the due date and service will be suspended until payment is received.
  • Subsequent invoices will be sent on a quarterly basis. Payment is due by the 10th day of the first month of the quarter. A $5.00 late fee will be added if payment is not received by the due date and service will be suspended until payment is received. Annual payments will be given a 5% discount.
  • Payments may be mailed, given to the driver, or taped under the lid for pickup if you call and let us know in advance. We also accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover credit and debit cards at no additional charge. Payments are accepted over the phone or online through our online bill pay service. We can also arrange to automatically charge your debit or credit card on a quarterly basis.
  • We cannot accept tires, auto batteries, construction debris, ashes, liquids, paint or hazardous materials. Grass clippings, tree limbs, automobile parts, furniture and appliances are NOT household waste. Some larger items can be picked up, but pickup must be scheduled in advance and an extra charge may apply.
  • We do not dump barrels, but will remove the bagged trash from the barrel.
  • Larger items and construction debris may be taken to the Hardin County Landfill. They also offer 4 free dump days per year. Contact the Landfill at 270-506-1062 for information.
  • Hardin County has several recycle trailers located throughout the county to accept cardboard, glass, paper, etc. Contact the Hardin County Solid Waste Coordinator Bob Hall at 270-360-9207 for container location and accepted items information.
